Sign Design Masterclasses & Mentoring

For Those Looking to Deepen Their Craft

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with artists, designers, and craftspeople at all stages — from beginners to seasoned professionals looking for refinement or creative direction. Whether it’s in a small group setting or one-on-one, I offer guidance rooted in experience, honesty, and a deep respect for the work.

Mentoring

This is not a step-by-step program — it’s a conversation. A place to ask better questions, untangle creative blocks, and gain clarity around your process, your standards, and your path.

Mentoring sessions are tailored to you. They may focus on:

  • Design critique and refinement

  • Craftsmanship and material thinking

  • Identity and positioning as a creative

  • Navigating client work

  • Developing a personal visual language

Offered as:

  • One-time session

  • Ongoing mentorship (monthly or seasonal)

  • Written or live feedback

  • In person or via Zoom

Attending Jayce’s workshop was a breath of fresh air. Even many years later, Jayce’s design philosophy still affects how I approach and visualize our projects. I aspire to the quality of his craftsmanship. I would readily recommend this workshop to anyone who is serious about upping their game.

Workshops & Masterclasses

-Zoom or in person

When design works, you don’t notice it — you feel it.

These sessions are not about surface polish or stylistic mimicry. They’re about sharpening the way you see, think, and work — with intention.

In each workshop, we examine the structure beneath good design: composition, rhythm, hierarchy, restraint. We explore how visual decisions affect perception — and how to build signs and identities that not only function, but connect on a deeper, more human level.

Whether you’re a sign maker or designer, these classes are meant to challenge and equip — giving you tools you can carry into every piece you create

A Note on Approach

I don’t teach formulas. What I offer is insight — drawn from decades of work in design, craft, and self-reinvention. I won’t teach you how to mimic a style. I’ll help you strengthen your own.

I had the pleasure of attending Jayce’s workshop last summer in Canada. He’s not only a master of his craft, but the way he approaches the emotional side of design and project research along with how he guides and educates his clients is very inspiring. I have implemented many of his processes into my work flow with extremely positive results!
