I was listening to DNTO (definitely not the opera) on CBC radio a couple of days ago. They mused about the perspective of time. The contributors who experienced events or activities that completely consumed their consciousness, described time as being suspended in an effortless bliss.
I've listened to neurological anatomist Jill Bolte Taylor speak about the left side of the brain processing past experiences and future endevours, as well as tracking the numerous daily tasks. She went on to describe the right side of the brain as the portal to the universe, the place of "just being" - our true selves - where inspiration and creativity are born. The place of truth and beauty.
